What Will 2019 Bring For You?

January 6, 2018

* The following is an excerpt from my book. Have a seat, relax, and think about what you'd like to do with the rest of your life.

A new year sometimes bring challenges, but it can be the start of a new beginning. With the holidays over, spring will soon be here. I've set my calendar to new goals. What are your goals? What will give your life purpose and meaning?

Without a purpose and meaning, hope gets lost in the shuffle of life. But everyone is born for a purpose, however, many don’t know exactly what their purpose is. We’re not just born, live, and then die without a purpose. If this were true, life would be meaningless, and we’d feel like insignificant beings walking blindly into an unknown future with little hope.

Finding purpose in life gives you hope along with a breath of fresh air. Hope is something we can't really live without. Hope opened up a world for me that I hadn't known, and I know that finding your purpose and passion can open up a new world for you, too, and give you a fresh attitude.

What is your passion? I'd like you to discover your passion, and your purpose in life. I'd like you to take a deep breath, and step out and pursue your goals and dreams and use them for God’s glory.

The greatest news is that we’re not just here taking up space, we're here for a reason. We each have a gift; something that we can do better than anything else. And that gift wants to be freed.

Maybe you need to further your education, hone your skills, take a few lessons, or learn a new craft that you’ve always thought you’d enjoy but never took the time to pursue. Maybe you’ve already discovered your passion, but you don’t know how or where to start.

Sunday school teacher or church leader? Graphic designer? Writer? Gardening? Sewing: making quilts, children’s clothes, and doll clothes? Woodworking: birdhouses, flower boxes, planet stands, etc.? Computer skills? Building websites? Blogging? Social Skills? Working with disabled children? The library is filled with books of this nature that can open up doors for you.

Even with little or no experience, it’s never too late to learn a new career, trade or hobby. In my latest book, I challenge you to discover your passion by taking a step to discover what God's purpose is for your life, and I will give you five simple steps to follow in order for you to make a new beginning in 2018.
