Are You a Friend Who is Closer Than a Brother?

"A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother." ~ Proverbs 18:24

May God bless you today, and may He continue to move across our great land giving hope to the hopeless and encourage those who are in desperate need of a friend, and those who need healing as we continue down unknown paths. Each day seems to show that our country is spiraling out of control by the hands of those who don't have its citizens' best interests at heart--they seem to have an appetite in gaining more control and power over us than they have an appetite at working for the good of the people.

I think one of the smartest things our Founders could've done was to write a Constitution that gives power to the States and to the People, and this may be the one of the greatest things that will save America from tyranny compared to most other countries.

My message is for us put an arm around someone in need; someone who may not know Jesus as their personal Savior. Let us help them so that they won't walk in fear but they'll walk by faith, so they, too, can experience peace in times of trouble.

I met someone the other day that had I not taken the time to carry on a conversation and listen, I would've never known the difficulties she was facing. I get so busy with my own life sometimes that I don't consider what someone might be going through and that they may need a true friend to talk with. I say true friend, because true friends sincerely care about you because they put their love in action and not just with words only. Anyone can say they love you, but how do they show it?

We may, as a country, be in for a storm of the century, we don't know, so let our prayers become fervent and passionate for America, her people, and especially our enemies. Let's not allow ourselves to be divided as a People. America is the greatest country on earth, and it was built on the backs of those who were united with the same goals in order to keep our country great.

As I watch demonstrations from people in the streets around the world who are standing up and fighting back to keep their freedom, my heart bleeds because they want is Freedom. We all want to be a free people and not be ruled by a dictator. When I see protests against their own country's tyranny, it's saddening to the human heart because all they want is to live in freedom as we all do, and we want law and order in our communities, our towns and our cities. I don't think that's asking too much.

Let us unite and become a stronger people so we can stand against those who want to hurt us and make our lives miserable.

We will become even stronger as a nation if we bring God back into our schools, businesses, and our lives. May we look to Jesus and stay focused on Him as we trust Him with our future. And may we love others more than ourselves by putting His love into action and not by words alone.

"Walk by faith, and not by sight." 2 Corinthians 5:7 God bless you. God bless America.
